About Elma Nieuwoudt

Director

Elma holds a B.A. LL.B. (University Stellenbosch), as well as a post graduate diploma in Financial Planning (University Free State) and is an admitted CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) with the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa. She is also an admitted and practicing attorney and legal practitioner since 1999.

 As part of her legal career, she was employed as a legal advisor for various financial services providers, including Old Mutual, ABSA and Metropolitan Odyssey, where she left in the position of regional legal advisor to pursue independent legal advising and founded and currently owns the following legal services businesses:

 

  • Elma Nieuwoudt Attorneys (Founding director and owner) – a firm focusing on estate planning, conveyancing and administration of deceased estates;
  • FinLego (Founding director and owner) – a specialist legal advising company with its focus on structuring bespoke personal-, business- and trust continuity planning for affluent business owners;
  • FinLego Fiduciary Services (Founding director and co-owner) – a Namibian trust administration Company;
  • IJS Trust Administration Services (Founding director and co-owner) – a South African Trust administration Company;
  • FinLego Trust Administration Services (Founding director and co-owner) a South African Trust Administration Company.
